Glazed ceramics
The group of tiles was created during a Gelitin solo exhibition at the Ferdinandeum, Innsbruck, in 2021.
Gelitin formed the tiles as part of a performance lasting several days, supported by invited artists and friends. The energy of this situation is manifested in the expression of the faces on the tiles. They act as seismographs of their anomic time.
Organically arranged, the hand-formed, glazed and fired tiles stretch up the wall in clust ers. Composed of anthropomorphic, tile-like shapes, they clump together to form clouds. Each tile is connected to the others. No one is alone.
